Messy art workshop at Windsor Castle©

Brighten your October half-term by visiting Windsor Castle for a creative art workshop inspired by The Queen’s colourful wardrobe. Be one of the first to experience our beautiful new Learning Centre, located at the start of the visitor route in Pug Yard. With an artist’s drawing of The Queen as your template, use a mixed-media approach to design a showstopping hat fit for royalty. Let your imagination run wild and get your hands messy as you combine painting and collage techniques.

Those who like landscape work can also have a go at painting a picture of one of The Queen’s official residences, complete with a rainbow.

For even more art and craft fun during your visit, head to the Ante-Throne Room in the State Apartments for Royal wedding fashion.

Please note, due to the current need for social distancing, places for the activities are limited and will be filled on a first come, first served basis.

All events at Windsor Castle will be managed in line with COVID-secure procedures. Please see our Welcome Back page for more information.
