A photograph of the future Queen Elizabeth II and The Duke of Edinburgh on their wedding day. The wedding took place in Westminster Abbey on 20 November 1947. After the marriage ceremony the couple processed to Buckingham Palace where the Wedding Breakfast was held. This photograph of the couple was taken in the Throne Room of the Palace.

Queen Elizabeth II is holding her bouquet of white orchids, and a sprig of myrtle, taken from the plant at Osborne cultivated by Prince Albert.
