Group bookings & payments

Windsor Castle is busiest from opening and throughout the morning. We have timed ticketing to manage the number of visitors inside The King’s official residences, so it is essential that groups pre-book an arrival time in advance of their visit. Groups can reserve and book tickets on our website or by calling the Ticket Sales and Information Office on +44 (0)303 123 7321. Please note that a £2.00 transaction fee is applied to all telephone bookings.

When you arrive, you will be required to pass through an airport-style security check. In order to speed up this process, please carry as few bags and items with you as possible.

Group reservations must be paid for by credit card or company cheque 30 days before the visit date, or at the time of booking when done within 30 days of the visit date.

We accept the following credit cards:

  • Visa
  • Mastercard
  • American Express
  • Switch/Maestro

Company cheques should be made payable to 'Royal Collection Enterprises Limited'.

Coach parking

Pay-and-display coach parking is available on Alma Road in the town centre and is clearly signed from all approach routes. A lift takes visitors from the coach park to Windsor & Eton Central Station, which is a 5 to 10 minute walk to the Admissions Centre and Castle entrance.

Coaches can't set down or pick up passengers at the entrance to Windsor Castle.

Further information about coach parking can be found on the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead website.

Guiding in the Castle

Windsor Castle-authorised Blue Badge Guides are allowed to guide within the Precincts, but not in the State Apartments.
