  • This two-part session begins with an engaging classroom resource lesson. With the support of historian Dr Jagjeet Lally, students will hone their source analysis and critical thinking skills by examining how objects from the Royal Collection serve as evidence in understanding the impact of the British Raj.

The experience culminates in an in-person visit to The King’s Gallery, Buckingham Palace, featuring The Edwardians: Age of Elegance Exhibition. Students will gain insights into art and humanities careers, and step into the role of a curator, to explore the challenges of presenting objects related to empire.

[Part one of the session is a pre-requisite for the in-person visit to The King’s Gallery.]
