Join Caroline de Guitaut, Deputy Surveyor of The Queen's Works of Art, and Justine Picardie, fashion expert and former editor of Harper's Bazaar in-conversation as they explore the history of royal wedding dresses.
Who was the first royal bride to wear a white dress? Which stunning gown was decorated with 10,000 pearls? How important is the designer and bride relationship? All this and more will be discussed in this close-up look at royal wedding dresses, not just as beautiful objects, but placing them in their social and historical context.
The event will contain both a pre-recorded film of the two speakers in front of Princess Beatrice's stunning dress while it was on display at Windsor Castle in 2020, and an in-depth question and answer session live from the speakers' homes.
Ask a question in advance
As part of the event there will be a live Q&A session with the presenters. You can suggest a question to be answered using our online form.
