This series of digital events is livestreamed via our YouTube channel. Unlike for our other digital events, there is no need to reserve a ticket in advance. Watch the video live on the Royal Collection Trust YouTube channel. You can also watch our bank of previous events for free on our YouTube channel.

Join us for the latest in our Slow Looking series, in collaboration with the Limina Collective. This event will be inspired by our upcoming exhibition, Queen Elizabeth II: Her Life in Style at The King's Gallery, Buckingham Palace.

The practice of Slow Looking provides a unique opportunity for us to explore an artwork through the lens of mindfulness. In this event, Lucia van der Drift from the Limina Collective will lead us through a series of relaxing and reflective exercises including meditation, guided looking and journaling.

Lucia will also be joined by Textile Conservator Cecilia Oliver, who will share some insights into the scrupulous work involved in conserving one of the highlight pieces of the exhibition, Queen Elizabeth’s II christening dress. Together, our speakers will consider how the meticulous precision involved in conservation work can be considered as a sort of mindful act.
