Pencil, watercolour and bodycolour | 23.0 x 33.4 cm (whole object) | RCIN 920244

On 15 June 1858 Victoria and Albert visited Aston Hall. As the queen recorded in her journal, the magnificent Jacobean house was to be ʻconverted into a Peopleʼs Museum & Parkʼ, as it remains to this day. The royal couple had lunch in the hall and met members of the public before the park was declared open.
