GEORGE WASHINGTON WILSON (1823–93)

Cathedral and St Martin's Cross, Iona

1859

Stereoscopic albumen print | 7.5 x 6.8 cm (image) | RCIN 2514410

It is tempting to speculate that the man with his back to the viewer in this photograph could be George Walker, Wilson’s companion during his visits to the island in 1860 and 1861.
