A catalogue of the Kew Library was compiled in 1780, with another copy written in 1785 and additions made to it until around 1812. In 1822 this collection, along with the one at Weymouth, was dismantled and moved to George IV’s opulent seaside residence, the Royal Pavilion at Brighton.
