As part of her wartime duties, Queen Mary visited industrial and shipbuilding areas. She was given tours around munitions factories and often presented with mementoes of her visit.

This model of an aeroplane propeller was presented to Queen Mary during her visit to the Integral Propeller Co's Works at Hendon, 4 December 1917.
