State Gifts

Model of Pashupatinath Temple©

During a State Visit it is customary for gifts to be exchanged on the first day as a symbol of goodwill between the two countries.

While the nature of these gifts varies, those presented by foreign visitors often represent traditional skills or crafts particular to their own country, or are of specific cultural significance.

Below are a selection of gifts given to The Queen by visiting Heads of State.

The income from your ticket contributes directly to The Royal Collection Trust, a registered charity. The aims of The Royal Collection Trust are the care and conservation of the Royal Collection, and the promotion of access and enjoyment through exhibitions, publications, loans and educational activities.
