Step into the world of a remarkable royal musical clock. Created in the early 1800s in clockmaker John Smith’s workshop, the clock features three dials and an open back that allows you to watch the mechanisms at work.

The dials show a moving scene of George III and his family, the phases of the moon and tides and a musical dial, with a selection of 16 tune titles, including ‘God Save the King’. Later in its life, the clock was given as a wedding gift to the future King George VI and Queen Elizabeth.
