  • Photograph of a full length group portrait of two Chinese women and a young male attendant. The woman on the far right is seated, facing halfway to the left. She turns her head to face the camera. The woman in the centre is standing, facing the camera front on. She holds a pipe in her right hand. The body of the pipe is held by the attendant who stands beside her, on the left of the photograph. The two women wear Qing dynasty clothing, consisting of a light colour tunic and wide leg trousers. Both women wear earrings and hair decorations in their elaborately coiffed hairstyles. The woman on the right has her face powdered. The young male attendant wears a light colour shirt and dark colour trousers. He is barefoot. The group pose against a material backdrop.

The photograph was taken in Singapore and the two women are likely originally from Macau.
