Zanetti's woodcuts of Parmigianino's drawings
Zanetti was in contact with scholars and collectors across Europe, sending them impressions of his prints and dedicating some of those prints to his friends. The prints here are inscribed to Joseph Smith, the second Duke of Devonshire – who had showed Zanetti his collection of earlier chiaroscuro prints during his visit to England – and his adviser Hugh Howard.
