Whether your group is interested in a special or private visit, or just wants a truly magnificent experience visiting one of the royal residences, our team can help you get the most out of your visit. We offer a groups discount for bookings of 15 or more (temporarily limited to a maximum of 30 people), and group-only products designed to enrich your experience at the official residences of The Queen.

Group leaders and guides

London Blue Badge Guides registered with the Institute of Tourist Guiding enjoy free entry. Guides should go the Visitor Entrance on Buckingham Palace Road and show their Blue Badge and Institute of Tourist Guiding membership card.

All unauthorised guides and tour leaders must be included as part of the group booking.

Group bookings & payments

We have introduced timed tickets to manage the number of visitors inside The Queen’s official residences and galleries, so it is essential that groups pre-book an arrival time in advance of their visit. Groups can reserve and book tickets on our website or by calling the Ticket Sales and Information Office on +44 (0)303 123 7321. Please note that a £2.00 transaction fee is applied to all telephone bookings.

Pre-booked group tickets must be paid for by credit card or company cheque with two signatures 30 days prior to the day of the visit. On-the-day group visits must be paid for by cash or credit card.

Company cheques should be made payable to ‘Royal Collection Enterprises Limited’.

Coach parking

There is no coach parking near the Royal Mews. Once your booking is confirmed, we will advise the nearest set down and pick up points. Further information on coach parking is available from Transport for London.

Guiding at the Royal Mews

London Blue Badge Guides are allowed to guide at two points in the Main Quadrangle. Guides should ask a Warden to point out these areas on arrival. We kindly request that social distancing is adhered to at all times when guiding at our sites.

Visitors can enjoy a free multimedia tour at the Royal Mews. Our multimedia tour is available in nine languages:

Family multimedia tour
Join Majesty and Scout, two of the horses who live at the Royal Mews – with a special appearance from Rex the Corgi - to discover what life is like at the Mews. From preparations for a State Occasion to the everyday routines of the horses and staff, find out more about the Mews with this interactive, fun guide aimed at children aged 5-12. Available in English. 

Tour for blind and partially sighted visitors
An audio descriptive tour in English is available for blind and partially sighted visitors. It provides information about the Royal Mews as well as directions and location information to assist visitors throughout their visit. The tour is rich in description, giving the listener a sense of the size and scale of the Royal Mews, and of the coaches and carriages on display.

British Sign Language tour
The general tour is available in British Sign Language as a video tour. Subtitles are included. For hard of hearing visitors the multi-media handsets are T-coil compatible and equipped with volume control.

Souvenir Guide
Visitors can buy an Official Souvenir Guide for the Royal Mews either in advance from our online shop or on the day of the visit.
