This printable booklet is a useful tool for teachers planning a school visit to The Castle. It covers the reasons why The Castle was built at this site, the features of motte and bailey castles and also looks into attack / defence mechasisms used in medieval times. This booklet supports our 'All about castles' workshop but can also be used if schools are self-guiding. 

Top-tip: Teachers can also ask to use the stock of clip-boards kept onsite, to save carrying these from school.
