Gift aid
Help support Royal Collection Trust
Gift Aid is one of the simplest and most effective ways of giving to charity and helps support the work of the Royal Collection Trust. It is a scheme administered by HM Revenue and Customs which allows us to claim 25p for every £1.00 that our visitors donate to Royal Collection Trust, a registered charity.
For example, if you agree to convert your ticket purchase which had a value of £20.00 to a donation, we can claim an extra £5.00, making your total gift to RCT worth £25.00. This can be done at no extra cost to you.
The income that is generated through Gift Aid contributes directly to the care and conservation of the Royal Collection, ensuring it can be enjoyed by visitors today and by future generations.
For your donation to be eligible, you must:
- be a UK taxpayer
- pay enough UK income and/or capital gains tax to cover all the Gift Aid claimed on your donations in that tax year.
How do I Gift Aid my ticket purchase?
When you buy a ticket we will collect your name and home address (including your post code). If you are booking tickets online you will be asked to tick a box next to the following statement “I am a UK taxpayer and I should like you to treat my purchase as a Gift Aid donation”. If you are booking tickets over the phone or in person, our team will ask you verbally to confirm if you wish to Gift Aid your booking.
In both instances you will receive a confirmation of your Gift Aid declaration. If you are booking tickets online or over the phone, this will appear in your booking confirmation email. If you are booking in person, you will receive this along with your printed tickets.
What if I need to cancel my Gift Aid donation?
You can cancel your Gift Aid declaration within 30 days by contacting the Ticket Sales and Information Office on +44 (0)303 123 7300.
Thank you for supporting us!
