First published in 1683, the Hortus Medicus Edinburgensis presents a catalogue of plants featured in the first Botanic Garden in Edinburgh- a garden which was first planted at Holyroodhouse. Join us for an opportunity to see this catalogue up close, and hear the story of this pioneering garden- and why not also visit a new Physic Garden planted just outside the Palace of Holyroodhouse today?

The income from your ticket contributes directly to The Royal Collection Trust, a registered charity. The aims of The Royal Collection Trust are the care and conservation of the Royal Collection, and the promotion of access and enjoyment through exhibitions, publications, loans and educational activities.
