Commonwealth Day - 14 March 2022 - is an annual celebration observed by people all over the Commonwealth in Africa, Asia, the Caribbean and Americas, the Pacific and Europe.

During the Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh, 1986, The Queen was presented with a tartan pincushion, adorned with pin badges from participating countries. Join us on Commonwealth Day to explore the symbols of several of these nations, and hear a little of the history of the Commonwealth.

Royal Collection Trust is a charity caring for the Royal Collection, one of the world’s great art collections. Income from your visit helps us to conserve and share the Collection so that it can be enjoyed by everyone, wherever they are.
