The book often referred to as 'The First Folio' was published in 1623, seven years after the death of William Shakespeare. It's a collection of 36 of Shakespeare's works. Copies of the folio exist within The Royal Library at Windsor Castle.

Included as part of your visit to Windsor Castle this October half term, children can enjoy some creative crafting at the Castle's Learning Centre. Children can create a Shakespearian memento or try on some replica costumes.

Activities take place throughout the local school holidays, 09:30 - 15:30, to keep your little ones busy.

While touring the State Apartments remember to use the family trail to learn more about Shakespeare's links to the Castle.

Downloadable trail - Explore Shakespeare's connections to Windsor Castle (For 8 years and older)

The income from your ticket contributes directly to The Royal Collection Trust, a registered charity. The aims of The Royal Collection Trust are the care and conservation of the Royal Collection, and the promotion of access and enjoyment through exhibitions, publications, loans and educational activities.
