Come explore and celebrate the Physic Garden at the Palace of Holyroodhouse. The Physic Garden is a free to visit garden space behind the Abbey Strand Centre. Join us for a special day full of activities as we celebrate this special space.
Explore the garden
Borrow an explorer bag, pick a paper family trail, and discover the garden for yourself. Visitors of all ages are welcome to pick up a sketchbook and sketch in the garden!
Nature inspired storytelling
Join Storyteller Jane Mathers to explore the Physic Garden through the magic of stories.
Live musical performances
Join us though out the day for music exploring nature’s wonder.
Decorate a seed box
Take inspiration form the plants and nature in the garden and decorate a seed box to take home.
Decorate a mini plant pot
Use porcelain pens to decorate your own mini plant pot to take home.
Flower shields
Discover how nature has influenced the design of many objects in the Royal Collection, including beautiful shields, and make your own flower shield to take home.
Pop-up play corner
Take time out from the activities to enjoy playing in the garden. Ride a hobby horse and dress up as a king or queen!
