A Renaissance art studio was a busy, bustling place where a team of art apprentices would work together to help create the final masterpiece. One apprentice might be working on the hands, another on the faces, another on the feet of the figures in the painting, with all these sketches coming together at the end to create an incredible work.
In our interactive art session, you and your family will become those apprentices! Guided by our brilliant teacher, Karly, and working with our amazing life models, you will take on fun art challenges, just as the apprentices did all those years ago.
The first 45 minutes of the session will be lead by Karly, and then those who would like to can head into the Gallery to have a go at even more art challenges to hone your artistic skills!
This is a fantastic opportunity to have a go at life drawing as a family in a supportive and engaging session. We strongly believe that everyone is an artist, and the session is welcoming and inclusive to everyone, regardless of their art experience. The session is for families, so children must be accompanied by an adult at all times, and adults must be accompanied by a child.
The session is free with your standard admission, and does not need to be booked onto. However, we recommend booking your Gallery tickets in advance to avoid any disappointment. The sessions will be run on a first come, first serve basis, so you may want to arrive at the Gallery slightly earlier than the session to secure your spot. Our models will be wearing cycling shorts and gym wear.
