Go back in time to the English Civil War and meet the Parliamentarian Garrison of Windsor Castle!
Learn about Prince Rupert’s beleaguered assault, the founding of the New Model Army and hear the stories of imprisoned Royalists. Watch thrilling pikeman drills by grizzled soldiers of dashing Prince Rupert’s army.
At Pug Yard Learning Centre join the Parliamentarian garrison and take part in kids pikeman drills or get crafty, colour Charles I or Charles II, break some secret codes or cut out and play our paper war-game “Pike and Shotte". Families are also welcome to picnic in the yard at the Learning Centre.
