On August Bank Holiday Monday, join us for a Family Fun Day of storytelling, arts and crafts at Buckingham Palace.

At the Family Pavilion, at the end of your State Rooms visit, you can enjoy amazing storytelling exploring the fascinating history of Buckingham Palace and its beautiful gardens. Find out what Queen Victoria did the moment she rushed back to the Palace after her coronation, and hear about the time she once saved Prince Albert's life!

    Our storytelling sessions are:

    12:30 - 13:00

    14:00 - 14:30

    15:45 - 16:00

You can also take part in a variety of relaxing and engaging arts and crafts sessions for the whole family. Paint a beautiful watercolour inspired by the Gardens or decorate a glittering crown to take home.

At the Royal Mews, take part in our Marvellous Mews Meander trail and enjoy fascinating arts activities including camera-less photography, and make your own Mews inspired bunting.

All our activities are suitable for families of all ages and sizes, and are available whilst stocks last. They are included in your State Rooms or Royal Mews or Royal Day Out ticket.

Please note, all activities will be paused during 13:00 - 13:30 for a lunch break. Royal Mews art activities will finish at 15;00, and the Family Pavilion art activities will finish at 16:00.

The income from your ticket contributes directly to The Royal Collection Trust, a registered charity. The aims of The Royal Collection Trust are the care and conservation of the Royal Collection, and the promotion of access and enjoyment through exhibitions, publications, loans and educational activities.
