For hundreds of years the Palace gardens have been used for many royal events including gardens parties. Join us for a day full of activities, for all ages to enjoy, inspired by the garden.
Make a crown
Find out about parties in the garden, and make a crown fit for a royal party to wear in the gardens.
Royal Races
Try out some special games for a Scottish royal garden party. See if you can race like a unicorn or walk regally balancing a mini crown on your head!
Nature sketchbook
Pick up a nature sketchbook and take your pencil for a walk around the gardens to help you take in the sights, sounds and smells of this Royal garden.
Royal Gardens short talks
The gardens at the Palace of Holyroodhouse have a long history and are used right up until modern day. Join us for this short talk to find out about parties, sports and more in the Palace gardens throughout the ages!
Talks will take place in the gardens at 11:00, 12:00, 14:00 and 15:00.
