This special tour of Scotland’s official residence of The King highlights both Holyrood’s dramatic past and the Palace’s important role today.

In the company of an expert guide, you will enjoy a private tour of the State Apartments when the Palace is closed to other visitors.

An Exclusive Guided Tour offers a unique opportunity to go behind the ropes in selected rooms and includes the West Drawing Room, used by members of the Royal Family as a private sitting room and not normally open to the public. It is amongst the most beautiful rooms in the Palace with exceptional oak panelling, historic paintings and one of the finest 17th-century plasterwork ceilings.

Tours conclude in the gardens of the Palace of Holyroodhouse, where you will hear the fascinating history of the Palace grounds from the 14th century to the present day.

Exclusive Guided Tours last around 1 hour 30 minutes and include a complimentary guidebook.

These are small group tours with a maximum number of 25 places on each tour.

Your ticket can be converted into a 1-Year Pass for unlimited standard admission to the Palace of Holyroodhouse. A £2 transaction fee will apply when pre-booking a return visit.
