    After a close public vote, October's masterpiece of the month is Canaletto's The Bacino di San Marco on Ascension Day, beating Rembrandt's Shipbuilder and his wife. 

    Hear one of the paintings conservator explore the painting in this month's short talks. 

    Warden Short Talks

    Short talks from the warden team also take place at 12pm and 3pm each day in the Gallery. The topics vary each day, including insights and details about a particular painting, or looking more widely at an artist.
