In 1947, King George VI (1895-1952), Queen Elizabeth, later Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother (1900-2002), Princess Elizabeth, later Queen Elizabeth II (b.1926) and Princess Margaret (1930-2002) engaged in a Royal Tour of South Africa. They travelled across the country, visiting farms, mines and nature reserves. This album contains over 400 photographs documenting the tour. The South African Railways Administration gave multiple photograph albums to those present on the tour as a souvenir of the visit.
