Display cabinet
1814-56RCIN 68900
This display cabinet, part of a set of 12, was used by George IV at Carlton House to hold the overflow of books from his Library. It was subsequently adapted by Morel and Seddon and used as a display case in the Green Drawing Room. Today, the cases hold the magnificent Louis XVI dinner service (RCIN 5000017), made at the Sèvres Porcelain Manufactory near Paris.
