A Royal Christmas

How the Royal Family have celebrated Christmas over the centuries

MARCUS ADAMS (1875-1959)

Princess Elizabeth's Christmas card

1949

RCIN 2943751

The photograph used for this Christmas card was also taken by Marcus Adams and dates from his first sitting with the infant Prince Charles (now King Charles III).

It is likely that this card was sent by Princess Elizabeth (later Queen Elizabeth II) to another member of the Royal Family as it is signed with her familial pet name ‘Lilibet’.
