This print of the Duke of Wellington was issued to celebrate Wellington’s victory at Waterloo. It bears a publication date of 18 June 1815 – the date of the battle – though it must have been produced shortly afterwards. It was certainly available by 19 July 1815, when this impression was purchased by the Prince Regent.
