Walking stick

circa 1850

RCIN 31244

Prince Albert owned a wide variety of walking sticks, a number of which were gifts from the Queen. Those with ivory tops appear to have been purchased by the Prince during his various visits to Germany. The stick carved with a single dog appears in the portrait of his beloved greyhound Eos (no. 50).
