The Henneberg Factory in Gotha received a prize for landscape painting at the Great Exhibition. These plates show landmarks in and around Gotha, while the vases depict the ducal palaces in Coburg. Prince Albert acquired some of these pieces during a visit to his Thuringian homeland in 1844.
