LUDWIG GRÜNER (1801-82)

Jewel-cabinet

1851

RCIN 1562

Designed in the form of a large reliquary, this cabinet was Elkington’s most important exhibit at the Crystal Palace. As a proud dynastic statement, it incorporates the Queen’s favourite image of the Prince, the Royal and Saxe-Coburg arms, and portraits of their six children born before 1851.

The income from your ticket contributes directly to The Royal Collection Trust, a registered charity.
