This room was hung with a selection of the Prince Regent’s Dutch and Flemish paintings, including Rubens’s Self-Portrait, to the left of the mirror. On the mantelpiece stands the Chinese Drummer Boy Clock, which was transferred to Brighton Pavilion shortly after this view was painted.
