Three Generations of Royal Horsewomen

c. 2012 copy after an original of 10 Apr 2004

RCIN 2943915

Three generations of horsewomen posed for this photograph at Windsor, taken to mark The Queen’s 78th birthday: The Queen is on Tinkerbell; her daughter, The Princess Royal, on Peter Pan (right); and her granddaughter Zara Phillips (now Mrs Tindall) on Tiger Lily (left). All three skewbalds were bred by The Queen, who is well known for breeding a wide range of horses and ponies, from thoroughbred racehorses to Highland ponies. Tinkerbell is the mother of both Peter Pan and Tiger Lily.
