HOMER (ACTIVE 850 BC?)

Iliad

1524

RCIN 1081183

A reprinting of one of the ground-breaking octavo editions of the Iliad and Odyssey, using the last, smallest and clearest of Aldus’s four Greek fonts. These two bindings are probably by Niccolò Franzese, who introduced the French style of binding to Rome around 1550.
