Writing table

1796

RCIN 27847

This writing table was made for the residence of Charles-Philippe, comte d’Artois (1757 – 1836) at the Palace of Holyroodhouse. The writing table, along with the two pier tables seen alongside, is plain and elegant and similar to pieces the company created for the residents of Edinburgh’s stylish eighteenth-century New Town. Supplied to the Palace of Holyroodhouse, 1796
