FABERGÉ

Basket of Flowers Egg

1901

RCIN 40098

Carl Fabergé was commissioned by the last two emperors of Russia to create fifty imperial Easter eggs, between 1885 and 1917 – the most sumptuous and technically complex works of art he ever created. The Easter egg for 1901 was designed to celebrate spring with a profusion of remarkably realistic wild flowers.
