    Queen Victoria's bracelet

    On 23 November 1839 Queen Victoria summoned the Privy Council to announce her engagement to Prince Albert. Just before she made her declaration she received this bracelet from her mother, Victoria, Duchess of Kent. The date is engraved on the back.
