Princess Alexandra arrived in England from Denmark three days before the wedding. The British people gave her an enthusiastic welcome as she processed through London to Windsor where the wedding was to take place. The royal carriage is just visible amongst the crowds passing in front of the Mansion House, the home of the Lord Mayor of London and Temple Bar, the boundary of the city.
