Prince Philip is connected with over 800 organisations. He has a strong interest in design and its links to industry. In 1959, he founded the Prince Philip Designer’s Prize to reward the best in design ranging from engineering to graphics projects. On the 50th anniversary of the prize in 2009, the winner was the Brompton folding bicycle designed by Andrew Ritchie.

The aims of The Royal Collection Trust are the care and conservation of the Royal Collection, and the promotion of access and enjoyment through exhibitions, publications, loans and educational activities.
