Lady Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon married the Duke of York at Westminster Abbey on 26 April 1923. In July 1929 the Duke and Duchess of York visited Dover Street with their three-year-old daughter, Princess Elizabeth, where Bertram Park made this portrait of the Duchess, and Marcus Adams took photographs of the Princess.
