Study of a cherry blossom tree

A Close-up study of a cherry blossom tree in Ninna-ji. Placed slightly to the left side, the tree trunk splits early in four main branches. The pedals of the flowers appear glowing and translucent as the direct sunlight illuminates them from behind. A wooden sign in Japanese can be seen directly in front of the trunk. It loosely translates to 'don’t break off twigs, Ninna-ji Temple'.
