The Prince of Wales on board HMS 'Bronington' visited by The Duke of Edinburgh

After receiving his wings on 20 August 1971, The Prince of Wales’s training continued with the Royal Navy. He completed a course at the Royal Naval College, Dartmouth, followed by service on board the guided missile destroyer HMS Norfolk. The Prince served in the navy for the next five years. On his last posting he took command of the minehunter HMS Bronington, where he received a visit from his father in his capacity as Admiral of the Fleet.
