RCIN 600855

Katherine of Aragon (1485–1536) was the widow of Henry’s older brother Arthur. She married Henry in June 1509. Only one of their children, Princess Mary, survived to adulthood. Henry turned to Anne Boleyn and in 1533 his marriage to Katherine was officially annulled, but Katherine insisted on being called Queen until her death in 1536.
