DAVID NASH (B. 1945)

Yellow

2012

RCIN 212769

A pastel of a yellow triangle, with a diffuse yellow field surrounding it. Signed and dated, lower right. The drawings was made by rubbing yellow pigment into the paper with diagonal movements using a fleece cloth. The triangle was applied in the same manner, using a stencil. Nash remembered seeing Her Majesty The Queen in a yellow coat and the liveliness it brought to the occasion. His stencil drawings are produced in limited editions.
