Antonio Visentini (Venice 1688- Venice 1782)
Plan and elevation of the Redentore c.1740-60
RCIN 919301
Antonio Visentini was regularly employed by Smith and the Pasquali press as a draughtsman. He made many drawings of buildings by Palladio to be circulated among connoisseurs. This particular sheet, showing the façade of the church of the Redentore, was damaged by a candle flame at an early stage in its history.
