Venice: An altar in the north transept of San Marco

The altar is visible in the background of the previous drawing. A sarcophagus containing venerated relics is covered by a canopy flanked by huge candelabra, and worshipped by figures kneeling at the foot of the steps leading up to the altar. The wall is hung with decorated cloth.
