Badge, Sash and Star of the Order of the Redeemer (Greece), 1st type, c.1862

The royal party arrived in Athens on 29 May and the Prince drove immediately to the palace to pay his respects to the King. The Prince then drove to his hotel where, shortly afterwards, the King arrived to return the Prince’s visit. King Otto then presented the Order of the Redeemer to the Prince of Wales.
